One sure-fire way to shorten the search is to make us do the hard work – just send us a list of your requirements and we’ll prepare a short list of possible properties. We visit them all so any advice is first-hand. Contact us via the button below.
How to find a Great Villa for family holidays
If you’d prefer to browse and look yourself, we’ve prepared a few list of villas that suit families, with a focus on various needs. Grand-parents might sometimes prefer bedrooms on the ground floor, teenagers like to be within walking distance of a town or village while parents with toddlers will want a fenced pool. Families with slightly older children often really enjoy some of the larger places with shared pools so that the kids make friends.
We visit each and every one of our properties so can tell you what makes each one special and why we think they may or may not be perfect for you. Whichever one you choose, staying in a villa with your family will be a far richer experience than staying in a packed regimented hotel; set your own times, cook your own meals (or let us send you a chef!) and make a perfect family holiday that everybody will remember.
Family Villas with Shared Pools
An all-time family favourite is a historic hill-top estate close to Siena called Montestigliano. It has a number of carefully converted farmhouses, as well as the main historic villa. All the apartments together can accommodate 63 guests – large groups have sometimes rented the whole place. But it’s most popular as a place for families with children. There are 2 pools, both fenced. The owners run regular meals in the hamlet square and Francesco, the concierge, is fantastic and incredibly helpful, making for a very relaxing holiday. If the grand-parents are coming, Adriana is all on the ground-level.
Large Family Villas with Private Pools
You may well want a private villa for your family holiday – here is a selection of private family villas with pools, all with at least 4 bedrooms.
