The Province of Forli-Cesena is the eastern-most area of Emilia Romagna, bordering the Adriatic sea with its long straight beaches and nightlife spots. For those less interested in dancing the night away the southern edge of the province climbs into the foothills of the apennine mountains, with small villages and restaurants to be discovered. Just north of the Province is the fabulous city of Ravenna, with many excellent examples of Roman mosaics from late-antiquity.
