Emilia Romagna stretches along the northern border of Tuscany and is a beautiful and un-discovered area of Italy, known for its fabulous food (Tortellini, Parmesan Cheese, Parma Ham all come from the region). It is generally more quiet than Tuscany and has a myriad small undiscovered villages in the foothills of the Apennines as well as some fabulous larger cities, like Bologna, Parma and Ravenna.
